My Name is ….

My name is J…..

Once I was dead but now I’m alive and the Holy Spirit lives in me. I’ve spent 18 years in prison for a crime that I’m ashamed to even speak of. Prison can be a very dark place. Sometimes a person can feel alone. I know that I’m never truly alone because the Holy Spirit lives in me. I love God’s Word and I need and want God in my every day.

While I was in prison someone told me to attend Sing for the King services. When I did I heard what sounded like the voice of an angel, Christy, singing and praising God. In that moment I felt like I was seated in heavenly places. My heart was encouraged and lifted up. Then James and Johnny brought the Word, with a message of salvation and encouragement. They give the kind of fellowship a believer needs to be healthy in Christ. I don’t think I’ll ever forget how much that meant to me. I’ve never seen such an outpouring of the Holy Spirit for men and women who are incarcerated. It’s so hopeful to know God wants to forgive, heal, and restore, that there’s nothing God can’t do. I am so grateful that brothers and sisters are willing to give of themselves in this ministry.
